After graduating from Sturgis High School I attended Western Michigan University and graduated with an art major and elementary education minor. I began teaching elementary art in the Sturgis Public Schools in 1972 and was so thankful to take “Art on a Cart” to many children. Watching children express themselves through art is exciting. Each child has a chance to explore and create-using the gifts God has given them.
My next job lasted about 24 years and was definitely fulfilling – staying home with my three children. In 2002 God had another plan for my life – to teach preschool! He brought me to Trinity, my home church. My children were baptized and confirmed here and they graduated from Trinity Lutheran School. What a great blessing to be here, in this place, teaching and sharing Jesus with children and their families! God is so great!
